Sony Walkman Cell Phone W42S With cell phones becoming more and more like a portable MP3 Players and the prospect of an Apple Ipod Phone it is no surprise that Sony has now announced their new walkman handset, the Sony W42S.
The Sony Walkman cell phone has been highly anticipated for some time and it is easy to see why. The W42S includes a generous 1GB of memory which can be increased with a 4GB memory stick pro duo expansion card. Additionally there is a 1.3 megapixel camera, FM Radio, an Electronic TV Program Guide, and a 2.2 inch 256k color QVGA LCD screen. The Sony Walkman cell phone also features unique dedicated player controls which include a new mechanical wheel for screen navigation. The Walkman cell phone is really built for music and even has a battery saving mode to allow 30 hours of playback. Additionally Sony has a partnership with KDDI meaning that owners of a W42S can access 5 million song downloads through the LISMO music service. The Sony W42S should fetch a price tag of just under $200 on contract and should be launched in late June. |
