Nokia hacked | Re-hacked by Digg.com Hooligans

Nokia websited hacked

A computer hacker going by the name of Dr.Jr7 hacked the Canadian website of Finnish Phone giant Nokia on Sunday - defacing several phone descriptions, and suggesting that Nokia "Get More Secure Next Time".

Within 4 hours of the original hack, copycat hackers used the same methods as Dr.Jr7,(believed to be an SQL injection exploit), to enter the Nokia website and further deface it - adding pictures of a bunny with a pancake on it's head, as well as a picture of a man forcefully stretching his own anus - known by the computer hacking community as "Goatse".

As the night went on, it seemed that Nokia was unaware of the activities, and the page was further vandalized with sentiments such as "we like Bukkake" and "mad wieners". Many of these activities were claimed by members of DIGG.COM - A very popular social bookmarking site - as "I know how he did it" trophies of sorts.

Googling around the web a little bit, Dr.Jr7 boasts of hacking several websites including nasa.gov, an Iraqi government site, and a Vietnamese government site. While Dr.Jr7 was the original one to breech the Nokia website, he only left his tag or calling card on the site. It was the digg.com community members who had a field day with it, and vandalized the site with very obscene images and language.

I personally am ASHAMED and SHOCKED at how poorly several members of the DIGG.COM community acted, lacking any good judgement, participating in the commission of criminal offenses.

I hope that Nokia plans to trace the IP addresses of the offenders, and even asks the assistance of Digg.com in pressing charges against those who participated.

I used to like the digg.com community, but now I am having second thoughts if I wish to associate myself with such a group of Hooligans and script kiddie wannabes.
