Slim Cell Phone CrazeSlim Cell phones were regarded as one of the hottest cell phone categories of 2005 with a growing interest in a slim line phone over wider counterparts. A lot of people have found the larger smart phones to be too bulky and prefer the sleekness of the slim cell phone. Slim cell phones also have a tendency to appear much more fashionable due to their sleek and modern style. Despite the interest in the ultra slim cell phone it actually only accounted for 3% of the cell phone market in 2005 according to a recent study. However it is expected to drastically increase in popularity and will reach 15 - 20% by 2010. The slim cell phone is definitely coming into fashion. The Motorola Razr V3 was launced last year and was the first successful ultra slim cell phone at just 13.9mm. Other companies have now launched their own ultra slim cell phone models such as the Sanyo SCP 6000 which is only 10mm thin. Could this year be the one where we see a cell phone thinner than 1cm? Here is a list of some of the current slim cell phones on the market: Motorola Razr V3 - 13.9 Samsung MM-A900 - 14 mm New Mototrola L7 SLVR - 11.5mm NEC's e949/L1 - 11.9mm Sanyo SCP-6000 - 10mm |
