Cell Phone Tracking Teenagers DrivingFriday, April 07, 2006 Following the theme of cell phone tracking and monitoring that we have covered in the past few days we will tell you about a service which allows parents to track their teenagers whereabouts and driving speed. This Cell Phone tracking service aimed at reducing car crashes among teenagers and actually came out a couple of years ago. The cell phone tracking service is provided by the company Teen Arrive Alive (or TAA) and monitors the teenager's whereabouts and driving speed through their cell phone (providing it is on) using GPS. Parents can monitor their teenagers actions live online and can ring a hotline number at any time to find out their last known whereabouts. Although parents may find this useful for tracking their teenager's whereabouts and ensuring they are driving safely teenagers argue that it is an invasion of privacy. The teenage cell phone tracking service is only available to Nextel Customers and costs $14.99 a month. More details can be found at the TAA website at www.teenarrivealive.com.
