Cell Phone GPS usesSunday, April 09, 2006 Here on CellFoneForum we have been recently discussing the uses of cell phone as monitoring devices. Many cell phones are now coming with a GPS function and there are a variety of uses for this. Cell phone GPS is a great tool for tracking people and the services we have described in the previous three articles are a great example of the power of cell phone GPS. There is also another cell phone GPS service, Mologogo which is not so much a spying tool but gives the owner of the cell phone the ability to give certain people access to their whereabouts at any time. This sort of cell phone GPS service would be great for someone who is traveling the world and wanted friends and family to be able to track their location. Other great uses of a cell phone GPS service include the ability to quickly find local attractions and amenities near to you. A service called A2B allows you to quickly find websites through your cell phone for companies and attractions close to your current location. This would be a great tool for quickly finding a local restaurant when you are in an unfamiliar location. We can expect to see the features of Cell Phone GPS to be found in more and more cell phones and will add to the ever growing list of useful technologies that will be available to us anywhere in the world at a touch of a button.
