If you have a contract phone with a network provider then you are probably entitled to a free cell phone on a yearly basis. You can upgrade your contract phone simply by calling your network (if they or a company on behalf of them have not called you already as so often is the case). This actually brings some money making opportunities. Even if you don’t have a contract phone you could still start a contract and get some money out of it and actually pay much less than on your pay as you go service.

Many people are quite happy with the contract phone they already have or do not necessarily want the most expensive phone available to them on contract.
