Choosing the contract phone for selling on eBayMonday, April 17, 2006 This article is part 4 of 5 in our "Selling your Contract Phone on eBay" series. Yesterday we covered how to unlock you cell phone to increase the selling price. Today we are covering which contract phone to choose for selling on eBay and a few little tips for picking the most profitable contract phone. We discussed how to find the most expensive contract phone for sale. You do also need to consider that have a choice between getting the free contract phones or paying extra for the more advanced models. New contract phones available for free on your network are usually worth $250 to $450 (about £150 and £250). Sometimes it is a good idea to consider the cell phones which are not free on your contract. More advanced and expensive contract phones normally cost you between $40 and $180 (about £20 - £100) but often may be worth considerably more for selling on eBay. For example the most expensive contract phone available for free may sell for $280 on eBay but if you go for a model that’s costs you an extra $50 one off fee on your contract it could have a selling price on eBay for $380. So you have made an extra $50 by choosing this contract phone. Another trick is getting an even more expensive contract phone for cheaper or even free by purchasing a more expensive contract and then change to a cheaper contract at a later date. Most networks allow you to change after 3 months. Tomorrow we will look at how much money you will make or save selling your contract phone on eBay.
