Cell Phone Tutorial: Make Cell Phone Photos BiggerThursday, April 20, 2006 Taking cell phone photos has become a regular occurrence for many of us. As most people carry their cell phone everywhere whenever a photo opportunity pops up the cell phone is on hand to take a photo. Many of us will have large collections of great photos that we treasure. However the cell phone these photos are very small when viewed on the phone. Making these cell phone photos bigger is possible when you transfer them to your PC. Here we have a short tutorial to help you to do this. This tutorial is even easy for novice PC user to carry out. A lot of cell phones store your picture at a low quality which makes enlarging them problematic because as the cell phone photos are enlarged they become blurry and pixilated. The reason for this is a cell phone can store more images when they are set at a low quality. However with cell phone technology improving it is more common to have higher quality pictures that can be enlarged. Many cell phone photos can actually be taken at a very high quality since many modern cell phones have 1 mega-pixel camera or greater and a good amount of storage space. You should be able to set the quality of each cell phone photo for each picture before you take it. This is not covered in this tutorial since it is different for every phone and you will need to consult your cell phone's documentation. After transferring your cell phone photos to your PC (you will need to consult your cell phone's documentation to find out how to do this) there is a very simple way to enlarge them. Just simply follow this cell phone tutorial on making your photos bigger: 1. Download Microsoft Image Resizer and install (it can be found in the left hand column of this page. Just simply click the download link and run the program). 2. Now go to the folder where you saved your cell phone photos. 3. Right click on the name of the image you want to resize and click the new option "resize picture". 4. Choose which size you would like, simply small, medium or large and click okay. A new file will be created at the size you specify. You have now successfully made your cell phone picture bigger. You can view it on your PC or print it out.
