OQO Ultra-portable PC Hits Consumer Market Oct 29![]() The OQO ultra-portable computer has achieved a unique status before hitting the market. The handheld Windows XP computer has been vaporware for over two years earning it a distinction no company wants for their product. It appears the vaporware status may come to an end as the OQO is scheduled to be launched in San Francisco on October 29. The announcement emailed by the OQO folks comes at the end of a long road of press releases and convention demos. There is an almost cult following of prospective customers who have been waiting to get their hands on one of the little PCs and it will be interesting to see what the pricing for the handheld is when it's available. |
